This is my presentation rubric By Nicola

This is how I did on my presentation which is below this post, except Asmah and I had to present our presentation in front of the class. When the time had come where We had to show everyone our presentation I was nervous and yet excited. I think that I need to work on remembering the information so I don't have to repetitively look at my cue cards, though I think that I looked at my cards half as much as some people would. I also believe that I should work on a loud voice, so everyone can hear me.

Amato 2012 Netbook Reflection

This year I have found using my netbook to be successful.I have enjoyed using my netbook because....

we can use our netbooks  for  different websites and
we can use it to find answers we don’t know.
we can use our netbooks  for commenting to others who are in different kind of schools  around the world. We can use our net books to do our work  and to file so the teacher sees what we are doing and she can give us feedback. We can use our netbook  for looking for answers and we can use it for Maths Whizz and Sum dog.

The barriers in using my netbook are  my Maths Whizz is always slow because the kids in my class are all on maths whizz.
When I log into my Google Apps account it is always slow.
Every time when I do reading and make a copy it is always slow.

Owning my netbook

I look  after it every time and charge it sometimes.  I hold it properly with two hands
i  like going on maths whizz.

I like to go on to different websites to find the right answer to my celebrations.

My own narrative: The Broken down car By Tevita

The Broken Car

One hot day, there was a family on a holiday. The mother’s name was Taylor and the father’s name was Scott. They both had wonderful children. Their names were Lilo and Bling. They had a pet dog named Stitch, he was a big dog. Stitch was a K-9 dog. Lilo was the smart one and Bling, well he was the strong one and the oldest one in the family. Bling was seventeen years old and Lilo was only fifteen years old.

Once they started to pack up for the picnic Scott said
” Go to the toilet before you get in the car. “ They went down the driveway and headed off to Tepu Bay. When they were halfway there, their car started to break down. Lilo said
” Dad why did we stop? “ Dad replied” That’s because of the car breaking down Lilo. “ Scott took off his seatbelt and went outside and checked the engine. He grabbed his cell phone to call one of his friends and his cell phone said” No signal. “ Taylor said
” Scott, is the engine ready to go? “ ” No, it is not ready to go! “ Scott said desperately.

Scott told Bling to help him push the car while Taylor steered the wheel to get off the road. Suddenly a truck pulled up and the fat driver got out. Scott asked if he could help tow the car back home. The driver said in a deep voice” Yeah, sure I can help. “ So the fat man got a rope that had a hook at the end and hooked it on the front of the car. They all went back home, but they still had their picnic in the backyard. Taylor said in a thankful way to the driver,
” Would you like to stay for the picnic? “
” Sure, I would like to stay, thank you “ said the fat man thoughtfully. They all had a lovely day in the back yard outside.

THE END

Andre's Netbook Reflection

This year i have found using my netbook to be successful. I have enjoyed using my netbook because....

We can go on Math Whizz it helps you to know new things at maths. You can play Math Whizz when you finish your work or when my teacher says we can go on Math Whizz. I play Maths Whizz it make me learn some things new at Maths.

The barriers in using my netbook are....

Sometimes you forget your password. You can’t go on gmail because I forgot my password. I can’t go on google docs because I forget my password.

The interesting aspect / parts to using my netbook are... because

It is easy for searching for information. If i don’t know some words I can go and search the word that I don’t know and it will tell me what it is. You don’t need to use a dictionary, you can just use your netbook. You can search for any of word.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Endless Rhythm painting?
The thing that frustrated me was when we had to paint around the circle because we had to go slow and plus my hand was shaking.

Oh no Dad, By Teagan

At the moment we are on summer holiday in New Zealand. All students are on holiday for about six weeks. During the next month, Creative Voice will feature some of our best pieces of work that they have been done during the year. New work will feature on Creative Voice in mid February.

My Fishing Story

One sunny me my Dad and my cousins were fishing at the Panmure Wharf. My Dad packed up heaps of bait and made sure the weather and the sea was alright.  It was a quiet day for us as no one had caught any fish yet. We had been there for almost 2 hours and none of us could catch one. My Dad said one more hour and then we will go home.

My cousin threw his fishing line into the sea not expecting anything when...... A great big pull nearly pulled him into the ocean. He was pulling with all his strength, back and forth went the fish and my cousin. My cousin pulled with all of his strength and pulled the fish out of the water. It was like pulling a truck. It was a great big Snapper. This would feed our family for sure.  He pulled it up, it was twisting and swirling like a crazy animal. He got it off from the hook and gave to my Dad.

It was twisting and twirling in my Dad’s hands. It was trying to escape. My Dad was wobbling and the fish was wobbling too. My dad dropped it on the floor. My dad dropped the only fish we caught on the floor. It flipped and it flopped, my Dad tried to jump on it but it was too late.  It rolled into the sea. I was laughing and my cousins were laughing too. It didn’t really matter because that was a breading fish and it was too big. My Dad just covered it up by buying some fish from the store. He told us not to tell anyone or we will get in trouble.

Never give your fish to my Dad.

Tim's Netbook 2012 Reflection

Pluses

This Year I Found Using My Netbook To Be Successful. I Have Enjoyed Using My Netbook Because... I can make comments to other schools with good things and positive things. Making comments to other students and their blogs makes me a good person because it makes me a good thinker. Commenting to other blogs is fun for me.

Minus
The barriers in using my netbook This year I have a lot of flash problem on my netbook. Sometimes I can’t go on docs so that is a problem. Every time I have a problem I ask the teacher not someone who doesn’t know how to fix it. In class we had a burglary and the thieves stole some netbooks and one of them was mine. So I got a new netbook.

Interesting

I think google docs help me with my work because you can make document and do your work. I can file it under maths, writing, reading or inquiry so Miss Paton can check it. When Miss Paton makes a comment to me about my work Miss Paton would highlight the word or sentence that doesn’t make sense, or the word that is spelled incorrectly. I can go back to it and fix up the mistake. Miss Paton can tell me to put my work that I did on my blog so Miss Paton’s heart won’t be sad.

My Endless Rhythm Reflection By Nicola

Art: Reflecting on my Endless Rhythm Painting

1. Are you pleased with your Endless Rhythm painting? why / why not?
I am very pleased with my art because I like the colour choice I used.

2. What did you find easy when you created your Endless Rhythm painting?
Mixing the colours and painting was really easy.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your Endless Rhythm painting? -think about painting, ruling it up tracing plates, cups, etc.
Tracing the plates was a bit tricky because I had to keep it very still which was a bit frustrating.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?
Miss Paton helped me as well as her art group by showing us which part we were going to paint for the day.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: colours, painting, ruling up, etc.
I might choose a different colour theme when I start painting.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Endless Rhythm painting?
Mixing the purple was a bit frustrating because all I got out of that was either dark blue, dark maroon or really faint purple.

Our Endless Rhythm Artworks

Over these last few weeks we have been learning about the French Artist Robert Delaunay. Robert Delaunay is famous for painting abstract geometric artworks. The artwork that has been produced is in the style of the painting: Endless Rhythm. While we were creating these paintings we learnt how to find the diametre of circles. We used a plate and a cup to create our circles. It was a great measuring activity as we had to find the centre of the plates and circles. Check out our amazing artworks.

Isabella's 2012 Netbook Reflection

This year I have found using my netbook to be successful. I have enjoyed using my netbook because.....
We can upload presentations, photographs, stories and other things. When I put something on my blog I always put a picture to go with it. Also I enjoy uploading stories that we do in class because when we get it checked I can upload it to my blog. When we do presentations like how we're doing presentations for our Festivals and Celebrations. I find uploading things on my blog really successful because then when we have more posts we get more comments and we have more people from around the world checking out my blog. I also like it when people comment on my work and that will let me know that I’m doing a great job on my work and on my blog. Also I can show my work off in assembly, in class on the big screen or to other people from other schools or around the world.

The barriers in using my netbook are.....
When we had internet problems and flash issues with maths whizz. I really find it annoying because when we need to do something really important with our learning our internet gets really slow because a lot of people are on their netbooks or the other classes are on their netbooks. Also when we have to go on math whizz we have flash problems and when I go on it the whole screen freezes when it is in the middle of loading. The sad issue with my netbook was when it got taken in the burglary. I got really upset that it got taken and I got really tired when it took a long time to get another one. I also don't like it when my math whizz is slow we have to reimage it my netbook over and over again.

The interesting aspects / parts to using my netbook are.......
Getting to take my netbook home for the holidays or during the week so we can do our homework. Also when we take our netbooks home and we haven’t finished our work we can do it at home. I like taking my netbook home because when we have nothing to do in the holidays we can go on other peoples blogs or we can publish a story we did in the holidays or we can make comments on other peoples blogs.

I also like it when Miss Paton checks my work so that she can show it in assembly or she can put it up in class on the big screen so that I know that I have done a great job with my work.
